JB for Governor Fall Internship Program

Join the JB for Governor campaign as a student intern! Tell us about yourself, why you’d like to join, and let us know when you’re available. Student internships are a great way to volunteer for the campaign while you’re in school, or on break, and gain valuable experience in political organizing in Illinois.

We’d love your help electing JB, so let us know that you’re in! This paid internship is an opportunity to learn the ins and outs of a grassroots, statewide campaign. Internships are available in the areas of policy, research, organizing, political outreach, press and digital communications, and operations. Interns will work under the close supervision of staff.

If you are tired of politics as usual and are frustrated with Governor Rauner’s agenda…then change can start with you.

If you would like to apply to be an Organizing Fellow, the application can be found here.

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Currently enrolled as a full or part-time student. Proof of enrollment is required.
  • Availability to work a minimum of 15 hours a week.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with short deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and have ability to work within team.
